Many credit card companies and utilities will let you change your due date. Line bills up with payday so money's there when bills hit. One phone call, less stress.
Set autopay for at least the minimum on credit cards and loans so you never miss a payment, then pay extra manually. Just keep enough in checking to cover it. Set it and don't forget it.
